San Roque’s festival season begins with the celebration of Carnival traditionally based in the Plaza de Armas.

Holy Week is very important, exhibiting images brought from Gibraltar in 1704.
Foundation of the Town
On the 21st of May the foundation of the town is commemorated.
Fairs and Festivals
From the 10th to the 15th of August fairs and festivals are held commemorating San Roque, the town’s patron, among which we should highlight the “toro del aguardiente” bull run and the popular dances held in the bull ring.
The San Bernardo Festival
The San Bernardo Festival is celebrated on the 20th of August, in honour of the patron of Gibraltar.
